Meet Cole Barkocy

Cole Barkocy is a Paraplanner at Assured Concepts Group, where he brings a distinctive mix of structure, precision, and a deep desire to help others navigate their financial journey. A former airline pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, Cole transitioned into the financial services industry in April 2025, drawn by the parallels between aviation and holistic financial planning—both demand disciplined strategy, safety-first thinking, and seamless execution.

Education & Experience

Cole holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation with a concentration in Professional Flight from Eastern Kentucky University. During his collegiate career, he competed as an NCAA Division I athlete and was one of just two instructors selected to serve on the university’s Safety Advisory Board—a testament to his leadership and attention to detail. In this role, he helped shape safety protocols for more than 270 flight students, earning the respect of peers and faculty alike.

His aviation background cultivated a mindset centered on clarity, process, and preparation, traits that now serve clients as they build financial blueprints for retirement and beyond.

Cole now resides in Crystal Lake. He’s passionate about health and fitness, always up for discovering new cultures and cuisines, and believes some of the best memories are made through travel. Outside of work, he values quality time with family and friends—whether it’s a quiet dinner, a weekend getaway, or a spontaneous new adventure.
